The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
●Personal identifiers: name, address, contact details (phone number and email address.)
● Self disclosed learning or neurodivergent needs relevant to optimizing your access to and learning outcomes from a MTAT course to promote inclusivity.
● Self disclosed medical conditions that may present as contraindications/red flags to receiving ear acupuncture and/or prevent or give caution to adverse reaction to ear acupuncture. This may include the form of a consultant/GP letter or require a further discussion with you and assessment by Anna Venables as MTAT trainer.
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
1• You wish to apply to be a student on a MTAT course and your personal details and/or medical conditions are required so that we can:
2. Contact you to send you course resources and pertinent information about the course.
3. Ensure that you are a safe receipt of holistic therapies and ear acupuncture based on your disclosure of medical conditions that may present adverse reactions so ear acupuncture to the best of our ability.
We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
• Federation of Holistic Therapists in the case of a direct booking with them: they will provide limited personal data to MTAT (student name and contact details.) NADA GB may refer you to me if you request training from me as an approved NADA GB trainer.
We use the information that you have given us in order to enable you to:
1. Join and attend a MTAT course and receive information relevant to the course.
2. Certificate writing purposes
We won’t share this information with anyone without your express written consent to do so.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting Anna Venables at anna_venables@yahoo.co.uk
(b) Your wish to be contacted for further MTAT courses for direct marketing purposes.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored at 1046 Bristol Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham, B20 6LJ..
We keep names, address, contact details (phone number, email, social media if shared)
Your certificate number will be cross referenced with your student identifiers
To record any MTAT course you have attended for seven years in line with Data Protection Act 2018 for client treatment records held (Consent to Treat form) and for the purpose of direct marketing for future MTAT courses.
We will then dispose of your information by shredding paper copies held in a locked file and minimizing, anonymizing or deleting personal data electronically held under a password protected computer.
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access: you have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification: you have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
